Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging content campaigns including written copy for use on BHASP social media channels, emails, and websites.
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos at BHASP events, campus (“house”) activities to document the mission and impact of the BHASP residential program on the lives of the residents and the impact of the residents on the local community.
  • Produce short-form video content optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Produce long-form videos for YouTube, PowerPoint, and other digital platforms.
  • Ensure brand alignment of content with BHASP mission including message pillars, core values, colors, fonts and logo usage.
  • Maintain and organize the shared asset libraries with logical keyword system for easy search and access to photos, videos, and stored content by other staff members.
  • Interview residents and create story content for BHASP newsletters
  • Other duties as required.
  • Time Allotment – 45% - Capturing, downloading, archiving, editing, and publishing online content. Attending events, interviewing residents, writing content for newsletters, and social media updates.
  • 15% - Campaign development, social media management (responding to comments, direct messages, collaboration requests, and inquiries) content planning and scheduling.

Requirements

  • One year of experience managing social media business accounts including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
  • Proficient using Mirrorless and DSLR cameras and capturing high-quality photography and video in a variety of environments including indoor, outdoor, low light, action, candid, and use of flashes. Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools to perform basic editing and exporting of photos and video content for a variety of digital platforms.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to write clear, compelling captions and adapt messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong conversational and interpersonal skills including the ability to approach strangers and secure consent to be photographed, posed and providing name/information.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with scheduling software platforms (SocialBee, Hootsuite, etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit communications is preferred.
