Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit video for product demos, field operations, government submissions, recruiting, social content, and more
• Capture autonomous systems in action across maritime, aerial, and ground environments
• Operate in real-world conditions including open water, field tests, and industrial settings
• Lead on-site production: cast, camera, audio, lighting, and shoot direction
• Work with and direct external production partners to scale output while maintaining quality
• Operate drones for aerial capture (obtain FAA Part 107 certification if not already licensed)
• Write scripts, develop shot lists, and structure clear video narratives
• Translate technical work into understandable visual stories
• Build and maintain a structured visual asset library
• Deliver finished content for web, press, social media, sales, recruiting, and investor use
• Post-Production & Story Development: Edit using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Handle color, sound, and motion graphics (After Effects a plus)
• Develop concepts and maintain a consistent visual style
• Take projects from planning through final delivery

Requirements

• FAA Part 107 certification (or ability to obtain)
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Comfortable working on fast-moving vessels in the open ocean
• Local to San Diego (San Diego-based on-site role)
• Ability to write scripts, develop shot lists, and structure clear video narratives
• Ability to lead on-site production: cast, camera, audio, lighting, and shoot direction

Preferred

• Videographers with documentary, journalism, or field production backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply
• Experience coordinating and directing shoots with external production partners
