Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary strategist, creator, and manager for the archdiocese’s public websites, intranet, and social media platforms.
  • Execute SEO/SEM strategies and manage paid digital advertising campaigns.
  • Build relationships with archdiocesan entities (offices, ministries, parishes, schools), assess digital needs, and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Collaborate with the engagement team to deliver full-service marketing support from concept through completion, including project management as directed.
  • Monitor social media trends, news, and best practices—especially within Catholic communications—and develop innovative approaches to engage both Catholic and non-Catholic audiences.
  • Partner with the Publications Team to enhance content reach and strengthen its role as a trusted source for Catholic information in St. Louis.
  • Serve as liaison to web developers to ensure an optimized user experience across public and intranet platforms.
  • Assist in monitoring and responding to inquiries from the faithful and broader community as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, including social media and website management; knowledge of and passion for the principles, teachings and mysteries of the Catholic faith.
