Job Summary

Own and tell the Loving Schools story by planning and producing shareable photo and video content from events and partnerships, while coordinating with the Program Manager to highlight impact through social media and campaigns.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Attend Loving Schools events, church partnership activities, volunteer projects, trainings, and school engagement opportunities.
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos that authentically tell the story of our mission.
  • Identify impactful moments, interviews, and testimonials that showcase transformed schools and communities.
  • Occasionally travel within the Greater Houston area to document partnership activities.
  • Attend one meeting a month with Program Manager to discuss upcoming events
  • Edit photos and videos into engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
  • Create short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, Stories, etc.) optimized for social media.
  • Design graphics, captions, and other visual content consistent with the Loving Schools brand.
  • Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, and digital assets.
  • Work with the Loving Schools team to identify stories worth sharing.

Requirements

  • Experience creating content for social media platforms.
  • Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
  • Strong photography and videography skills.
  • Working knowledge of current social media trends and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to attend occasional evening or weekend events.

Preferred

  • Experience working with churches, nonprofits, schools, or community organizations.
  • Graphic design experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and engagement strategies.
