Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing digital communications strategies that support organizational goals
  • Managing the organization’s social media presence, including content planning, creation, scheduling, and execution
  • Developing and maintaining content calendars, campaign timelines, and editorial workflows
  • Writing and editing digital content while maintaining a consistent organizational voice
  • Managing and updating website content
  • Developing and supporting email communications and campaigns
  • Working with teams across the organization to identify communications priorities and opportunities
  • Monitoring social media, website, and email performance and using that information to improve future content and campaigns
  • Identifying digital trends, platforms, and tools that may be useful to the organization
  • Adjusting communications plans and strategies based on performance, organizational needs, and changing priorities

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of professional experience in digital communications, marketing, or a related field
  • Significant experience managing social media content and strategy
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences, platforms, and formats
  • Experience developing and implementing digital communications strategies
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience using performance data to evaluate digital content and inform future communications decisions
  • Working knowledge of content management systems such as WordPress
  • Experience with email platforms such as Mailchimp or EveryAction
  • Experience with social media scheduling and management tools such as Hootsuite, Loomly, or Sprout Social

Preferred

  • Experience using video editing tools such as CapCut or Instagram Edits
  • Experience translating technical, policy, or legal information into accessible content for broader audiences
