Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update The Harris Center’s public website and The Harris Center Foundation website, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather, edit, and publish digital content, including program updates, announcements, and resources.
  • Apply SEO best practices to improve search visibility, accessibility, and performance of web content.
  • Monitor website analytics and user behavior to inform content improvements and recommendations.
  • Manage and maintain social media accounts for both the agency and the Foundation.
  • Develop, schedule, and publish content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages as appropriate, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Track performance metrics and prepare regular reports on reach, engagement, and growth.
  • Serve as a key content manager for the agency intranet (SharePoint), ensuring information is wellorganized, accessible, and current.
  • Collaborate with departments to post announcements, resources, tools, and campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in one or more of the following areas: communications, video production, web development, graphic design, and/or social media management.
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and social media platforms.
  • Ability to write and edit clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects in a timely manner; Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point; Excellent interpersonal skills; and Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred

  • An undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, digital media, public relations, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic graphic design skills are preferred.
