Job Description Summary The Development Fellow for Major Gifts position plays a key part in expanding the donor base and securing significant financial support for Wake Forest Athletics. The position involves initiating contact through targeted micro-campaigns, building strong relationships, and identifying philanthropic interests to develop personalized proposals. This is a fixed term position beginning on/around August 3, 2026 and concluding July 31, 2027. *This position is not eligible for sponsorship of non-immigrant or immigrant visa status through Wake Forest University. Job Description Essential Functions: Outbound Fundraising Efforts: • Effectively engage potential donors, building rapport and identifying their philanthropic interests through outbound & inbound phone calls. • Assist in donor acquisition and qualification calls with prospects through leads assembled via targeted micro-campaigns. • Achieve a delivery goal of 25, $50,000 proposals for the fiscal year; develop proposals tailored to individual donor interests. Major Giving Tracking Efforts: • Prepare monthly pipeline meeting materials for development team members. • Assist in the strategic planning of fundraising initiatives. • Assist with donor events & game day hospitality as needed. • Other duties as assigned. Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Bachelors Degree • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva • Ability to maintain confidential information • Ability to organize workflow, manage resources, and coordinate activities • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively with all members of a diverse community to manage a variety oftasks and projects with follow through and completion in a timely manner.
