Job Summary

Own Content strategy and donor-communications for college fundraising, turning strategy into donor stories, briefs, and frontline tools.

  • Content ownership: campaigns, websites, and impact storytelling that tie gifts to student outcomes.
  • Executive and volunteer enablement: templates, talking points, and toolkits for campaign committees.
  • Vendor management: coordinating freelancers and vendors to deliver assets on brand and on schedule.

Job Description

  • Draft cases materials for college-wide initiatives with leadership; create bespoke proposals for principal and major gift prospects; develop initiative menus, one-pagers, and program content to market gift opportunities to specific donor segments.
  • Lead content creation for development and campaign websites; produce data-driven stories of impact that demonstrate how philanthropy transforms the student experience; manage campaign editorial calendars across print, email, and web; manage relationships with external freelancers and vendors.
  • Partner with Communications and Alumni Engagement to co-develop content and ensure materials align with visual identity and core institutional messaging; curate a toolbox of templates and talking points for frontline gift officers; oversee print collateral production from concept through distribution.
  • Assist the AVP in preparing executive communications, briefings, board reports, and internal updates for leadership; develop volunteer toolkits for campaign committees and volunteers; help create and distribute situational communications for anticipated and unanticipated events; collaborate with campus staff to gather stories and data.
