Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the creator strategy for your brands - developing winning angles and messaging frameworks by analyzing proprietary performance data along with conducting consumer, product, and competitor research
  • Translate your strategic insights into repeatable creator briefs with clear, actionable direction that creators can run with: connecting performance metrics and brand goals to what actually gets shot
  • Own the execution pipeline for all UGC, self-tapes, and creator edits within your portfolio of 5-10 DTC brands, spanning categories like beauty, wellness, food & beverage, pet, apps, and more
  • Prototype new creative approaches on camera — shooting proofs of concept yourself to validate ideas before scaling them through the network
  • Use performance data to guide what you and your team shoot next, iterating quickly on what’s working and killing what isn’t
  • Drive execution with speed and autonomy, rapidly turning around concepts, testing at volume, and iterating based on real-time performance

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience creating content for social media and directing or coaching other creators
  • real performance marketing experience and understand it deeply — you know what a hook rate is, why thumbstop matters, and how to connect creative decisions to data
  • strong on camera and behind it — you can shoot and perform in UGC-style content well enough to prototype ideas and set the standard for your team
  • strong instincts for matching talent to briefs — you can look at a creative direction and immediately know the right kind of person to execute it, and you have a point of view on what makes a creator great
  • you give creators clear, constructive feedback that actually makes their work better without killing their energy or authenticity — they love working with you
  • you stay organized across multiple brands, creators, and briefs simultaneously without letting things fall through the cracks
  • deep fluency in digital content culture — you know what’s trending, what’s working, and what feels real versus what feels forced
  • you communicate clearly — translating performance data into creative direction and interfacing seamlessly with cross-functional partners and a roster of freelance creators
  • you’re based in Los Angeles — this role requires regular in-person presence at our Arts District studio

As one of the fastest growing startups in Los Angeles, we're revolutionizing the way in which companies approach successful video advertising. Our team of award-winning Producers, Editors, Directors, Engineers, and Performance Marketing Managers are building a global studio where we can conceptualize, shoot, and produce hundreds of videos per day. Unlike traditional advertising agencies that pitch creative concepts for companies, hope they will perform, and outsource filming, we design videos that are guaranteed to convert. We use data to guide our creative process and leverage testing and analysis to make adjustments to react to users in real-time.What's atypical about the company:We're fast and data-driven: our teams develop concepts in the morning, shoot/edit in the afternoon, launch in the evening, and iterate the next day based on real-world performance. We’re a behavioral R&D lab at the core: We put 2,000+ video experiments per week, watched by tens of millions of people per day, that give us deep insights into how people make decisions. Over the past couple years, we’ve built an enormous library of IP around human behavior and visual communication. We work on a pure pay for performance basis. Zero production fees for video. Clients only pay us if our videos outperform anything they’re running internally.
