Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the cross-functional strategy and program for AEO, GAO, and AI-mediated discoverability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define frameworks for content, knowledge assets, and brand voice in AI contexts.
  • Drive collaboration with multiple teams to translate AEO/GAO strategy into actionable programs and standards.
  • Define AI-driven acquisition strategies leveraging AI search and AI-enabled channels across products and audiences.
  • Partner to map and optimize AI-influenced acquisition journeys guiding prospects through NYL touchpoints.
  • Partner with analytics and growth teams to measure AI search presence and attribution across AI touchpoints.
  • Develop and maintain competitive intelligence on AI search representations for NYL and competitors.
  • Distinguish credible AI optimization from hype, prioritizing sustainable content quality over short-term tactics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, HCI, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years in digital or product strategy with cross-functional program responsibility.
  • 5+ years with AI/machine learning in strategy or product/consulting roles.
  • Experience in financial services with regulatory knowledge across consumer protection domains.
  • SEO/content strategy or digital discovery program experience; direct AI search/GEO/GAO experience preferred.
  • Hands-on AI concept development and prototyping with design and tech teams.
  • Ability to translate experience strategy into product requirements in a matrixed org.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders with competing priorities without authority.
  • Strong command of AI search, structured data, knowledge graphs, and LLM citation concepts.
  • Fluency across AI domains relevant to marketing and experience strategy (generative AI, RAG, personalization).
  • Hands-on with AI tools to develop concepts and competitive analyses using AI.
  • Ability to bridge experience strategy and product management without losing fidelity.
  • Envision future-state AI acquisition and marketing experiences beyond current optimization.
  • Strong facilitation and cross-functional leadership; capable of structuring ambiguity into action.
  • Excellent communication tailored to executive, business, and working-level audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a bias toward structured progress.

Preferred

  • Experience developing novel strategy artifacts for emerging tech domains without established playbooks.
  • AI-driven acquisition strategy or growth marketing in regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with adtech/martech platforms, DXP, or content management ecosystems for AI delivery.
  • Prior management consulting or advisory experience in financial services/insurance transformation.
