Job Summary

Drive written storytelling and content for a marketing internship program with two tracks (Digital Media and Copywriting) that collaborate on campaign strategy and content development.

  • Write blog posts, website content, and scripts for digital media.
  • Must be a sophomore in a marketing/design program with strong writing and communication.
  • Two roles share campaign planning and content execution.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Writing blog posts and website content
  • Developing SEO- and AEO-informed content
  • Assisting with campaign messaging and creative briefs
  • Writing scripts and captions for digital media content
  • Supporting marketing research and content planning
  • Copywriting Intern will focus on written storytelling, helping develop materials that support VTI’s marketing campaigns
  • This program includes two specialized roles: Digital Media Intern and Copywriting Intern. While each role has a unique focus, both interns will work together on campaign strategy, content development, and execution.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be through their sophomore year at a 4-year accredited college or university with courses focused on obtaining a degree in marketing, design, or similar field.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to collaborate and work effectively on a team.
  • Live within the area of Newport, NC or be willing to relocate for the summer. Arrangements can be made for housing to be provided for the duration of the internship.
  • Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.

Preferred

  • General understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Interest in storytelling, branding, and marketing strategy
  • Portfolio encouraged but not required (may include written school assignments)
