Job Summary

Drive Memory Fitness Center program development and operations under supervision, delivering services to patients and families while promoting community outreach.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision of the Manager of Geriatrics, develops, markets and directs Memory Fitness Center. Establishes effective means of providing client services to patients and families referred to the Center.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Develop, implement and maintain program structure for Memory Fitness Center
  • Market program to referral sources in the community, community groups, etc.
  • Conduct operation of program, meeting needs of participants while staying within budgeted parameters.
  • Promote ongoing public relations efforts.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of program, modifying as appropriate.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, CTRS preferred, or certification as an Activity Therapist.
  • Experience planning, developing and conducting recreational group activities for geriatric population and for those with dementia.
  • Experience interacting with health care professionals in Community.
