Responsibilities

• Podcast Production: Own the weekly podcast, including guest coordination, interview preparation, interviewing, production, follow-up and promotion.
• Content Creation: Create weekly written profiles featuring local businesses, founders and business owners. Develop written, photo, video and short-form content for digital & physical platforms.
• Social Media: Manage social media, including content planning, posting, audience engagement and growth.
• Community Engagement: Build relationships with founders, business owners, podcast guests and community partners while identifying new stories and opportunities.
• Events: Plan and coordinate curated events, including invitations, vendors, logistics and on-site execution.
• Brand Growth: Bring new ideas to the table and help grow the reach, engagement and overall direction of the brand.

Requirements

• Experience in content creation, marketing, communications, journalism, social media, podcasting, video or a related field.
• Strong writing, communication and storytelling skills.
• Comfortable interviewing and building relationships with business owners and community leaders.
• Creative, organized and able to manage projects from idea through execution.
• Self-starter who can work independently, manage deadlines and take ownership of the role.
• Genuine interest in entrepreneurship, local businesses and the Sioux Falls community.
• Avid reader and consumer of business content across several media channels.
• A portfolio or examples of previous creative work will be required.
• Experience with podcast production, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, photography, videography, video editing or social media tools is a plus.
