Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Content Manager will serve as a graphic designer and will assist with the visual brand of the ECU Athletics Department across print, digital and some audio/video platforms, as well as facility graphics for specific athletic programs.
  • The Content Manager works directly with the Director of Creative Media in the strategic development of awareness campaigns and organizational branding towards the achievement of visibility, relevance, and revenue goals/objectives.
  • This position will also serve as a liaison with print advertising media partners across region while developing advertising strategies, schedules, and promotions.
  • The Content Manager will work in support of the department’s social media efforts and may be asked to work some game day events.
  • The Content Manager will build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with Pirate Club, athletics, and University staff, students, business vendors and all donors and stakeholders.
  • The candidate will also abide by all written policies and procedures of ECU, the Department of Athletics, The Educational Foundation (Pirate Club), the NCAA, and all applicable conferences or associations.
  • This position will assist the Pirate Club with social media creation/distribution and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and travel are required in the performance of duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
  • Nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and travel are required in the performance of duties.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred

  • Experience in commercial design, art, marketing, graphic design, sports or related field
  • Expert level experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Illustrator and InDesign and working knowledge of Dreamweaver, and After Effects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate project goals to all members of the external division
  • Knowledge of usage and best practices for consumer related products (marketing collateral, websites, TV commercials, digital signage)
