Job Summary

Own the church’s social content production from strategy to publishing, balancing on-brand storytelling with platform trends across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.

  • Content Creation: Build and edit photo, video, and graphic assets that support sermons, events, and ministry campaigns across primary channels.
  • Content Operations: Translate the Digital Director’s strategy into a structured posting calendar and manage day-to-day posting, responses, and engagement tracking.

  • Create high-quality photo, video, graphic, and written content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok
  • \n
  • Capture content during weekend services, events, and ministry activations — including photo, short-form video, and behind-the-scenes moments
  • \n
  • Edit and produce content that is on-brand, visually compelling, and optimized for each platform
  • \n
  • Develop Reels, Stories, and short-form video content that drives engagement and reflects current platform trends
  • \n
  • Support the creation of digital graphics, email headers, and web assets as needed
  • \n
  • Manage day-to-day posting and scheduling across church social media accounts
  • \n
  • Translate the Digital Director’s content strategy into a structured, consistent posting calendar
  • \n
  • Write platform-native captions that reflect the church’s voice — warm, clear, faith-rooted, and culturally relevant
  • \n
  • Monitor comments, messages, and community engagement across platforms and respond or escalate as appropriate
  • \n
  • Stay current on platform updates, algorithm shifts, and content trends to keep strategy informed and execution sharp
  • \n

  • Partner closely with the Digital Director to execute communication and content plans for church-wide initiatives, sermon series, and events
  • \n
  • Collaborate with the Creative, Worship, and Production teams to ensure content captures and reflects ministry experiences accurately
  • \n
  • Contribute ideas for content themes, campaigns, and storytelling approaches during planning conversations
  • \n
  • Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and share insights to support strategic decisions
  • \n
\n\nRequirements\n
    \n
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms in a professional, ministry, or brand context
  • \n
  • Proficiency in photo and video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Lightroom, or equivalent)
  • \n
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content formats, and best practices
  • \n
  • Ability to write clear, engaging, on-brand copy for social captions and digital content
  • \n
  • Comfortable working on-site during weekend services and key church events
  • \n
\n\nPreferred\n

  • Experience in a church, nonprofit, or faith-based organization
  • \n
  • Background in digital marketing, communications, or media production
  • \n
  • Familiarity with social scheduling tools (Later, Sprout Social, or equivalent)

  • Basic photography skills and comfort operating a camera in a live environment
  • \n
  • Experience with Planning Center or similar church management platforms
