Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and produce compelling content for SOM social media accounts, fostering active engagement with our audience.
  • Contribute to ongoing video-driven needs on social, to develop/edit/produce video and concepts.
  • Ensure that all content aligns with SOM and University guidelines to maintain brand consistency.
  • Adhere to the established social media content calendar for timely post publication.
  • Collaborate closely with other creative and university teams for social media assignments.
  • Analyze social media metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct research on competitor content and promotional strategies to glean insights into industry best practices.
  • Contribute to special projects and events that enhance SOM’s marketing initiatives.
  • Provides excellent customer service to the professors and students of the School of Music.
  • Communicates effectively through both written and spoken means with supervisor, professors, and students.

Requirements

  • Current Liberty University student in good standing with the University
  • Able to work between 15-20 hours a week
  • Possess a creative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn
  • Able to give and receive creative feedback
  • Understanding of social media platforms
  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years work experience in any field preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
  • Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Suite
  • Problem Solving: Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
  • May be required to travel across campus on rare occasions
  • May be required to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
  • Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
  • Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.
