Drive community engagement for the San Jose Earthquakes by representing the club at events and home games; lead fan interactions, mascot support, and lead capture while maintaining a professional, service-oriented presence.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Represent and promote the San Jose Earthquakes in a fun and professional manner throughout the year at Earthquakes & community events, viewing parties, player meet and greets, sports tournaments, festivals, and more.
  • Responsible for setting up, tearing down, and management of all interactive elements at community events.
  • Support the sales team to generate leads and sell tickets at events.
  • Promote current marketing, sales, promotional, and team-related news, and initiatives.
  • Build relationships with important communities within San Jose including but not limited to Mexican, Portuguese, Vietnamese, and college students.
  • Build relationships with local small businesses and owners then recruit them into our Earthquakes Team 408 small business program.
  • Build relationships with youth soccer leagues around the Bay Area, and communities in Salinas, Peninsula, and Alameda.
  • Assist with Q (the mascot) as their handler at events.
  • Be a knowledgeable representative of the San Jose Earthquakes.
  • Work all Quakes home matches, including our games at Levi’s Stadium and Stanford Stadium, and all matches at PayPal Park, including regular season and exhibition matches such as international friendlies and U.S. Open Cup.

Requirements

  • Available two weekends per month.
  • Available to work all Quakes home games throughout the season – shift starts 2 hours and 45 minutes prior to kick-off until the end of halftime.
  • Ability to work on a team and be proactive.
  • Adaptable and can take the lead on initiatives.
  • Excellent customer service and speaking skills.
  • Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Expect 10-15 hours per week.
  • Ability to lift at least 25-30 pounds at a time.
  • Requires prolonged standing and walking.
  • Must be 18 years or older by January 1, 2026.
  • Must be able to meet at PayPal Park for training.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of San Jose Earthquakes, soccer, MLS, and Bay Area preferred.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
