Job Summary

Own local community growth for a Grand Rapids taproom by building relationships, driving in-person outreach and sampling, and coordinating events and media coverage with marketing.

  • Community Outreach & Partnerships: drive referrals through local businesses, clubs, and organizations and manage ongoing outreach for top-of-mind awareness.
  • Events & Media Activation: host and support taproom events, activations, and secure organic press coverage to boost foot traffic and visibility.
  • Insights & Collaboration: monitor the local scene and feed monthly learnings to the marketing team for timely amplification.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Getting out into the community — visiting local businesses, hotels, and event spaces to drive referrals and foot traffic to the taproom
  • Building relationships with local clubs and organizations (running clubs, sports leagues, social groups) to make the taproom their go-to destination
  • Getting product in front of the right people through quality sampling interactions and meaningful conversations
  • Managing outreach through email, text, and social to stay top of mind with your growing network
  • Hosting and supporting taproom events and community activations
  • Building relationships with local press, bloggers, and media for organic coverage
  • Coordinating with the marketing team to amplify taproom specials and events on social
  • Tracking the local hospitality and events scene and sharing insights with the team monthly

Requirements

  • Extremely outgoing — you genuinely love meeting people and building lasting relationships
  • Already connected in Grand Rapid's social, business, or hospitality scene (or eager to be)
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own time across a varied 40-hour week
  • Strong communicator in person, by phone, and in writing
  • Great organization skills to track outreach activity and report on results
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Beer industry experience welcome, but not required
