Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with management to drive business development strategies, establish short- and long-term goals, and implement plans that support organizational objectives.
  • Develops and executes business plans by researching prospective member companies, monitoring market trends, and applying strategies that drive new business and strengthen community engagement.
  • Serves as a relationship ambassador by building and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external members, vendors, and community contacts, while providing timely service and education on products, services, programs, promotions, and financial wellness initiatives.
  • Represents the credit union at onsite and community events, assisting with new account opening, onboarding, and outreach efforts.
  • Supports new Select Employee Groups (SEGs) by enrolling SEG representatives and educating them on their role and the program.
  • Partners with Branch Managers to develop and execute community engagement efforts aligned with strategic growth goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business or market development experience
  • 2-5 years of credit union experience
  • 2-3 years of related experience in business development, business-to-business sales, in-person or telephone
  • Strong public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to confidently represent the credit union in front of employer groups, community organizations, schools, and business leaders
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create reports, presentations, and track business development activities through a CRM
  • Travel Requirements
  • Frequent local travel within the Credit Union’s service area is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain reliable transportation and insurability in accordance with Credit Union policy.
