Support the Sisters of St. Francis Mission Advancement team by creating engaging content, coordinating communications, and assisting with marketing, events, and donor outreach while maintaining confidentiality and organization.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Integrates the mission and charism of the Sisters of St. Francis in all Mission Advancement initiatives and serves as a positive representative of the organization.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding Mission Advancement business and donor information.
  • Assists in creating engaging content for social media platforms to promote the ministries, events, and programs of the Sisters of St. Francis and the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center.
  • Assists in photographing community events and organizing digital photo libraries for marketing materials, publications, and grant reporting.
  • Designs brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, and other promotional materials using Canva and other communication tools.
  • Assists with marketing campaigns and promotional efforts for fundraising events, educational programs, and community initiatives.
  • Helps maintain the St. Francis Campus calendar using Google Calendar.
  • Assists with community outreach by distributing promotional materials and helping build relationships with local organizations and business partners.
  • Supports Mission Advancement staff with donor communications, fundraising initiatives, and marketing projects.
  • Creates written content, photography, short videos, and other communication materials under the guidance of the Communications Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Completion of at least one year of college majoring in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, business, digital media, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Interest in social media marketing and digital communications.
  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background screening.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, reach, talk, hear, lift light materials, and perform computer work throughout the workday.

Preferred

  • Experience with Canva or similar graphic design software preferred.
