Drive the organization’s communications program by planning and executing digital campaigns and student messaging.

  • Develop and maintain the Communications Plan and electronic calendar for social and digital channels.

  • Standout: Experience with government or military digital campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the organization’s Communications Plan to include messaging to target audiences, using demographics, psychographic data, and market research.
  • Develop and maintain an electronic communications calendar, building a library of stock messages that can be distributed via social and digital platforms.
  • Develop and maintain broad student communication and email to enhance the student experience and improve efficiencies.
  • Test, analyze, and suggest improvements to email marketing campaigns on an ongoing basis.
  • Translate complex strategies, ideas, and strategic objectives into actionable digital marketing campaigns.
  • Track and report all marketing analytics, including social media, email, targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Support the communications team through quality assurance methods to ensure message alignment and quality.
  • Use project management tools and documentation platforms to streamline marketing and web content workflows and coordinate team activities.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience with communications, social media, and digital marketing.
  • Proficiency in email marketing management platforms, with a preference for Salesforce or GovDelivery.
  • Experience with social media and email messaging development.
  • Experience with marketing automation utilizing Salesforce or another CRM platform.
  • Experience with quality assurance for communications products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of email best practices and global standards, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR and other government and institutional privacy policies .
  • Experience with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, and similar social media management platforms.
  • Experience with project management and documentation platforms, including Jira, Trello, Microsoft Planner, or similar.
  • Ability to manage and update complex communication plans across multiple media types.
  • Experience working with government or military digital marketing campaigns preferred.
  • Experience with performing a content audit or content inventory.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance or DoW background investigation.
