Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Communications Specialist will perform a variety of specialized functions to assist with the organization’s communications and marketing in the areas of membership, education, and governance. This includes strong involvement in social media and digital communications content and delivery as well as print and online graphics for large-scale events. The Communications Specialist will develop content in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, strategic goals, and branding. They will work under the direction of the Marketing and Communications Supervisor.
  • Create and publish content for website and social media
  • Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly enewsletters
  • Responsible for the social media platforms, including graphics/copy, posting, and interaction with followers
  • Collaborate on the development and maintenance of content calendars
  • Monitor and create reports on web analytics, social media, and newsletter metrics
  • Create both print and digital collateral for day-to-day activities as well as the annual conference and other events
  • Work with staff and outside vendors to ensure branding standards are maintained
  • Serve as point of contact for printers and conference vendors
  • Maintain the database of graphic, image, and multimedia files
