Job Summary

Own the CEO narrative and media engine, coordinating across PR, marketing, product, and investor relations to secure high‑impact interviews and consistent visibility outlets like CNBC and WSJ.

  • Media strategy and execution: outlet targeting, pitch calendars, proactive/reactive plans, and reporter relationship building.
  • Editorial rhythm: manage the CEO’s editorial calendar, weekly editorial meetings, and cross-functional alignment for CEO visibility.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage the brand, social media, and public relations for the CEO of Alteryx.
  • Secure organic media placements and interviews with outlets like CNBC or the Wall Street Journal.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar and monitor daily headlines with a razor-focused approach.
  • Partner in running weekly editorial meetings with the Corporate Communications leader and corporate PR team exclusively focused on the CEO; set editorial themes, opportunities, and the CEO visibility calendar.
  • Coordinate across PR, marketing, product, and investor relations to ensure aligned CEO visibility.
  • Develop the CEO’s proprietary narrative platform, translate company strategy into CEO-ready messaging, and maintain a CEO message house and briefing library.
  • Lead CEO media strategy and execution, including outlet strategy, story angles, pitch calendar, and proactive/reactive plans; secure high-impact interviews including TV appearances; build reporter relationships; prepare talking points and Q&A.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate is a current or recent tech journalist who possesses strong connections in media within the tech/software industry
  • Objective is to specifically address the PR needs of the CEO that are currently unmet rather than adding to the existing corporate communications team
  • Ability to secure organic media placements and interviews with outlets like CNBC or the Wall Street Journal
  • A razor-focused approach to managing daily headlines and maintaining an editorial calendar
