Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Directly support communication and marketing priorities and activities with strong focus on growing access and awareness for assigned clinics, departments, or service lines of the organization.
  • Produce multimedia content including videos, social media reels, podcasts, photography, newsletters, blog stories, patient testimonials, website content, presentations, and marketing collateral, ensuring messaging and brand standards are consistently met.
  • Develop and execute communication plans and campaigns to generate growth of new programs and services.
  • Identify, research, and develop compelling stories that highlight Valley providers, patients, services, programs, and community impact.
  • Support podcast planning, guest coordination, recording, editing, promotion, and distribution.
  • Create and maintain website content to ensure information remains current, accurate, and optimized for user engagement.
  • Develop social media content and campaign assets that increase engagement and utilization of Valley services.
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify content opportunities aligned with strategic growth priorities.
  • Monitor content performance and audience engagement metrics and recommend opportunities for optimization.
  • Ensure messaging is inclusive, clear, and appropriate for diverse audiences, including those with English as a second language.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field required. Four (4) or more years of relevant experience, or a combination of education, may substitute for degree requirements.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in communications, marketing, outreach, public relations and/or media required.
  • Experience writing and creating digital content for healthcare, nonprofit, media, or corporate audiences preferred.
  • Experience with video production, photography, podcast production, social media content creation, and content management systems (CMS) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy and content development.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience coordinating community outreach, provider engagement, events, or relationship-building activities preferred.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and multimedia communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content across digital, print, social media, photography, video, and other multimedia platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail; able to prioritize multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and remain calm and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to identify and develop engaging patient, provider, employee, and community stories.

Preferred

  • Experience with video production, photography, podcast production, social media content creation, and CMS preferred.
