Job Summary

Own and shape the Foundation’s external communications and digital storytelling, overseeing social media, websites, newsletters, and donor/partner narratives, while coordinating events, materials, and outreach with the Executive Director and Marketing Team.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Communications and Storytelling:
  • Creates and schedules social media content  that highlights the Foundation's impact, donor stories, nonprofit partnerships, scholarship recipients, and community initiatives.
  • Supports implementation of communication and outreach strategies in collaboration with the Executive Director and CG Marketing Team.
  • Drafts and edits content for websites, newsletters, press releases, Legacy Stories, and multimedia storytelling.
  • Identifies and captures stories that demonstrate philanthropy's impact throughout the communities served.
  • Develops promotional and educational materials that increase awareness of the Foundation's mission, programs, and community leadership role.
  • Supports newsletter preparation, including content, graphics, layout, and distribution.
  • Ensures materials follow established brand standards and guidelines across all communication channels.
  • Tracks communication-related expenses and assists in evaluating the impact and return on investment of communication tools and marketing efforts for the foundation and signature initiatives.
  • Digital Communications and Content Management:

Requirements

  • Education:                           Four-year college degree, preferred
  • Related Experience:              2-4 years’ experience in communications, marketing, administration, or                                                    a related field (nonprofit experience a plus)

Preferred

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and content creation tools with a desired preference for both photography and video editing experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and digital communication platforms.
  • Ability to track expenses, monitor budgets, analyze communication metrics, and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and community engagement investments.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate systems and records.
  • Understanding of marketing, audience engagement, and community-focused communications
  • Ability to understand the communities we serve.
  • Able to work autonomously and to function in a team relationship.
