Job Summary

Own and drive Foundation-wide communications and digital content, shaping storytelling across social, websites, newsletters, and multimedia, while supporting events and stakeholder engagement in collaboration with leadership and the marketing team.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Communications and Storytelling: - Creates and schedules social media content that highlights the Foundation's impact, donor stories, nonprofit partnerships, scholarship recipients, and community initiatives. - Supports implementation of communication and outreach strategies in collaboration with the Executive Director and CG Marketing Team. - Drafts and edits content for websites, newsletters, press releases, Legacy Stories, and multimedia storytelling. - Identifies and captures stories that demonstrate philanthropy's impact throughout the communities served. - Develops promotional and educational materials that increase awareness of the Foundation's mission, programs, and community leadership role. - Supports newsletter preparation, including content, graphics, layout, and distribution. - Ensures materials follow established brand standards and guidelines across all communication channels. - Tracks communication-related expenses and assists in evaluating the impact and return on investment of communication tools and marketing efforts for the foundation and signature initiatives.
  • Digital Communications and Content Management: - Utilizes, branding, communications, and graphic design tools for the creation and dissemination of materials. - Updates and monitors foundation’s website and social media channels to ensure timely, accurate, and engaging content. - Collaborates with the Executive Director, Database Manager, and CommunityGiving Marketing Team to manage communication lists, audience segmentation, and campaign schedules. - Identifies opportunities to grow digital reach and engagement within the communities served.
  • Event Coordination and Organizational Support: - Assists with planning and execution of Foundation events, donor gatherings, grant celebrations, scholarship recognition activities, and community engagement opportunities. - Coordinates event logistics, registrations, promotional materials, hospitality, and on-site support including community use of Foundation spaces. - Maintains accurate records and supports data entry related to communications, outreach, events, and stakeholder engagement activities. - Assists with preparation of presentations, reports, meeting materials, and community-facing documents. - Tracks timelines and communications related to outreach campaigns, events, and special projects. - Provides administrative and coordination support for grantmaking, scholarships, and Foundation initiatives. - Provides general administrative support necessary to advance Foundation programs and community engagement efforts, including acting as a point of contact for general inquiries with professional and timely customer service.
  • Other Duties: Performs other duties as required through the policies and procedures of CommunityGiving and the Foundation.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree, preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience in communications, marketing, administration, or a related field (nonprofit experience a plus)
