Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Americas PR team and stakeholders to align PR with business objectives.
  • Develop regional content, awards, speaking opportunities and external channels to boost brand awareness.
  • Serve as Western region media contact, pitching and scheduling interviews with media materials.
  • Lead proactive media relations campaigns to position the firm and leaders as authorities in CRE.
  • Partner with local experts to create content across earned and paid media with brand consistency.
  • Publicize key transactions, insights, updates, wins and market trends for media coverage.
  • Provide strategic counsel to executives on media opportunities and external comms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts across local and regional outlets.
  • Assist in managing issues and crisis communications as needed.
  • Conduct regular story-mining calls to identify media opportunities.
  • Coordinate with research leads on market data to bolster PR narratives.
  • Prepare spokespeople with talking points and media training aligned with branding.
  • Lead on-site support for events and speaking engagements with anticipated media presence.
  • Monitor media hits, track awards and compile coverage for leadership insights.
  • Provide quarterly PR accomplishment reports with campaign effectiveness and visibility opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or related field.
  • 5-7 years in public relations, with agency or corporate experience; CRE experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage large external comms programs and media relations principles.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication; ability to distill complex concepts clearly.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and deadline-driven with multiple priorities.
  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills for leadership and media relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in media relations, thought leadership campaigns and crisis communications.
