Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and execute organization-wide communications strategy
Manage digital channels, including website, email marketing, and social media
Write and edit content for newsletters, press releases, reports, and campaigns
Capture and share stories that highlight program impact
Build media relationships and pitch stories
Support fundraising and stakeholder communications and events
Advise program staff and leadership on communications needs

Requirements

Receptiveness to overall servant leader model and mission of Kinship Community Food Center
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field preferred
3–7 years of progressive communications experience
Creative storyteller and keen eye for detail with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
Experience developing media relationships and coordinating press engagement.
Strong understanding of digital platforms, website content management, and social media best practices.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively & manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends
Openness to work within a Christian/Catholic faith-based environment based on social justice principles
Valid Driver’s license, proof of insurance, and transportation to support work activities
