Job Summary

Own and lead Federation communications across storytelling, digital presence, newsletters, social channels, and campaigns, in collaboration with staff and volunteers to promote programs and drive fundraising and advocacy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content & Storytelling
  • Produce the Federation's weekly eVoice newsletter.
  • Find engaging stories that highlight our programs and community impact.
  • Coordinate the annual print magazine, The Voice, and assist with campaign materials.
  • Design simple graphics and flyers using Canva or similar tools (Adobe experience is a plus).
  • Write and edit newsletters, articles, press releases, blogs, and other communications.
  • Digital Communications
  • Manage the Federation's social media channels.
  • Maintain and update the WordPress website.
  • Create and send email marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency managing WordPress websites
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Familiarity with social media and digital communications
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact or similar)
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe preferred)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Appreciation for the mission and values of the Jewish Federation. Knowledge of the Jewish community, holidays, and culture is preferred.

Preferred

  • Adobe experience is a plus
