Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of proactive PR strategies to position Amazon Ads as an industry thought leader and trusted partner
  • Manage reactive communications and crisis response for issues impacting Amazon Ads' reputation
  • Build and maintain relationships with top-tier advertising, marketing, and business media outlets and reporters
  • Create compelling narratives around Amazon Ads' business strategy, product innovations, and customer success stories
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop authentic positioning and messaging
  • Partner with internal teams including Product PR, Corporate Communications, Policy, Legal, and Marketing to ensure consistent messaging across all external touchpoints
  • Prepare executives for media interviews, speaking opportunities, and industry events
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and public sentiment to identify reputation opportunities and risks
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of reputation management strategies

Requirements

  • 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven track record managing proactive and reactive communications for a global business
  • Strong media relationships with relevant business and trade publications
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic communications plans that drive business results

Preferred

  • Understanding of programmatic advertising, retail media, and the broader digital advertising environment
  • Track record of translating complex technical concepts into compelling narratives
