Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update internal Communications calendars to ensure timely and accurate information sharing.
  • Assist in the development of concept presentations for upcoming events and activations.
  • Manage the sample trafficking process, including shipping, tracking returns, and logging items into FashionGPS.
  • Oversee the press tracker with current media placements and upcoming credits.
  • Compile the monthly marketing newsletter for distribution to key stakeholders.
  • Support go-to-market initiatives including market prep, photoshoots, and press days.
  • Maintain the sample closet, ensuring that samples are organized and inventory is properly stored.
  • Support strategic marketing initiatives through competitive research and market analytics.

Requirements

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Genuine passion for the fashion industry, with awareness of the New York City fashion and hospitality landscapes.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Proficient in FashionGPS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • In office 2-3 days per week.

With her corporate headquarters in New York’s Meatpacking District, von Furstenberg has long been a vocal member of the community and was actively involved in the campaign to save the historic High Line railway and to develop The High Line into what it is today. She serves on the board of the Statue of Liberty–Ellis Island Foundation and is leading the effort to raise funds for the Foundation, which, in partnership with the National Park Service, will build the new Statue of Liberty Museum and continue the beautification of Liberty Island. She also serves on the board of the Shed, the new center for artistic and cultural innovation in New York City, and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. Von Furstenberg is married to Barry Diller. She has two children, Alexander and Tatiana, and four grandchildren. With all of her successes, she happily maintains, “Children are my greatest creation.”
