Own and drive United Adaptive Soccer Association’s communications and digital engagement program, overseeing social media, email, website updates, media outreach, fundraising communications, partner recognition, and impact reporting.

  • Lead content creation across social media, newsletters, and website updates aligned with branding.
  • Oversee media outreach, partner recognition, and impact reporting with regular performance insights.
  • Develop and publish posts, reels, stories, and monthly summaries while tracking results and planning next steps.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Location Description: Position Description United Adaptive Soccer Association seeks a Communications & Digital Engagement Specialist to manage social media, email, website updates, media outreach, fundraising communications, partner recognition, and impact reporting.
  • Monitor social media accounts once per week.
  • Review and respond to or escalate comments, messages, tags, and mentions.
  • Schedule approved content and reshare relevant partner or community posts.
  • Communicate promptly about missing materials, deadlines, or approval needs.
  • Store all content and editable files in UASA-owned systems.
  • Maintain a monthly communications calendar.
  • Create and publish 8–12 social media posts.
  • Produce at least two reels or short videos.
  • Feature at least one athlete, coach, referee, partner, or other stakeholder.

Requirements

  • Experience in communications, social media, marketing, public relations, journalism, or nonprofit work.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience with Canva or similar design tools.
  • Basic short-form video editing skills.
  • Experience with social media scheduling and analytics.
  • Ability to create newsletters and complete routine website updates.
  • Understanding of accessible communications, including alt text, captions, readable design, and plain language.
  • Strong organization, reliability, and deadline management.
  • Commitment to respectful and accurate representation of disabled people.
  • Minimum Qualifications

Preferred

  • Personal or professional experience within disability communities.
  • Experience in adaptive sports, soccer, disability advocacy, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience with media outreach, fundraising campaigns, sponsor recognition, or athlete storytelling.
  • Familiarity with website, email marketing, analytics, or media-monitoring platforms.
  • Existing relationships with sports, disability, nonprofit, or community media.
