Job Summary

Lead entry into public affairs support focusing on content creation and media outreach in Washington, DC.

  • Draft content for projects, press materials, and assist with events.
  • Must-have: Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Standout: In-person DC office presence four days a week (Mon–Thu) for 20–25 hours.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Draft and produce content for projects
  • Write press releases
  • Monitor the media and compile press clips
  • Draft social media copy
  • Conduct research on a client-driven basis
  • Write and help place op-eds in national/state/local media outlets
  • Plan and execute press events for clients, including opportunities to pitch targeted media
  • Provide tactical and administrative assistance including rotating front desk coverage
  • Listen in and join client meetings, calls, and strategy conversations

Requirements

  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of current events
  • Project management skills
  • An interest in and passion for politics and/or social issues
  • Availability 20-25 hours per week
  • In-person office presence Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Washington, DC
