Job Summary

Own cross-campus CRM communications and campus-wide marketing coordination to recruit and engage CWU students, with an emphasis on audience-specific messaging and campaign performance.

  • Communications planning and audience messaging: shape plans for the Slate CRM and other platforms, align with recruitment and retention goals.
  • Cross-department collaboration and content production: coordinate departments, build strategic plans, and produce print/digital materials.
  • Performance and governance: measure KPIs, optimize campaigns, and report to campus partners and leadership.

Job Description

Own cross-campus CRM communications and campaign orchestration to recruit and engage CWU students, with a focus on audience-specific messaging, channel formatting, and performance optimization.

  • Develops marketing and communications plans for the Slate CRM and other communication platforms to communicate with prospective and current CWU students.
  • Identifies specific audiences and key messaging for marketing campaigns.
  • Builds and formats communications within communications platforms using the email builder and HTML templates.
  • Consults with clients to build strategic communications plans, setting goals to support the overall recruiting and retention strategies of the university.
  • Coordinates across academic and administrative departments to successfully achieve project goals.
  • Assists in the production of print materials and campaigns, collaborating with the Creative Services team.
  • Manages the daily project management needs and assigns tasks.
  • Drafts marketing and communications content, including emails, digital, and print content.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with the Office of Graduate Studies, Auxiliary Marketing, Academic Affairs, student success departments, and other university partners to understand communications needs.
  • Follows CWU brand standards and assists in developing a cohesive voice for the university within the brand standards.
  • Partners with academic and administrative departments to support communication strategies and operational processes related to graduate recruitment and current student engagement, retention, and persistence initiatives.
  • Measuring project success and creating key performance indicator reports.
  • Monitoring and optimizing campaign performance to maximize communication plan success.
  • Making recommendations for future campaign modifications, to enhance campaign success.
  • Reporting regularly to the campus partners and Marketing and Communications leadership.
  • Performing regular market research on best practices and benchmarking to ensure communication plans and practice are current and compete with industry partners.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Best fit for someone with at least 4 years of marketing or communications experience or a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications.
