Job Summary

Coordinate and optimize camp photography and media operations to capture key moments while upholding privacy and values across camp events and communications.

  • Own daily photographer scheduling, group assignments, and coverage of activities, trips, and performances.
  • Oversee photo editing, uploading to the parent portal, and consistent social media updates reflecting camp culture.
  • Ensure staff compliance with privacy policies and No Photo list, coordinating with leadership on moments that matter.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Attend staff orientation sessions during June
  • Supervise and manage camp photographers throughout the summer
  • Create and manage daily schedules for photographers to ensure all camp groups, activities, and special events are documented
  • Assign photographers to camper groups, activities, and events to ensure complete coverage of camp experiences
  • Ensure all major camp moments, programs, trips, performances, celebrations, and special events are captured through photography and media
  • Manage and maintain the camp’s ‘No Photo’ list and ensure all staff comply with camper media permissions and privacy policies
  • Oversee the organization, editing, and timely uploading of photos to the camp parent portal
  • Manage the camp’s social media presence including creating and posting daily social media content, stories, highlights, and updates
  • Collaborate with Camp Directors, Unit Supervisors, and Leadership Staff to identify important moments and communications priorities
  • Ensure all digital content reflects the values, culture, and spirit of camp

Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for several hours, often outside during the summer season
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
  • Staff Shirt (provided) and sneakers required while on duty
  • Ability to communicate directly with camp office regarding application, pre-camp paperwork, and throughout summer
  • Experience using social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and other digital communication tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage schedules, assignments, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience organizing and managing large volumes of digital photos and media
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership staff and work independently when needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience social media accounts or digital content creation preferred
  • Experience supervising staff or leading teams in a camp, school, youth program, or related environment preferred
  • Strong photography and social media management skills
