Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with assigned supplier representatives.
  • Assist in developing annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans with suppliers.
  • Communicate plans to the sales department via meetings and other communication forms.
  • Use analysis of internal sales reports, industry information and supplier data to build plans and monitor results.
  • Create sales incentive programs, track and review results with Sales manager and recommend course correction when needed.
  • Work with marketing/sales manager to develop marketing plans and adhere to supplier marketing budgets.
  • Negotiate supplier co-op programs.
  • Assist in the tracking of supplier tactical co-op budgets.
  • Work with suppliers and company representatives in the market to ascertain program effectiveness and identify other potential opportunities.
  • Develop and make presentations to key customers as assigned.
  • Cicerone certification highly preferred.
  • Experience working for supplier highly valued.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; plus (3) year of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to communicate enthusiasm for the product and category.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Ability to perform nighttime and weekend work as required; occasional overnight travel required.
