Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop a knowledge and understanding of Wright State’s brands to be a resource internally (i.e. university staff) and externally (i.e. institutions, retailers, etc.) to ensure brand compliance.
  • Understand the brand and how to identify appropriate use and misuse, enforcing university brand guidelines
  • Ensure Wright State’s brands are represented within guidelines, being able to approve or disapprove requests with explanations
  • Be a resource for brand inquiries for internal stakeholders and vendors
  • Review requests through apparel/product and CLC platforms to ensure brand compliance.
  • Review, approve, and track requests, renewals, and product submissions from vendors, licensees, and internal stakeholders
  • Oversee finished sample approvals to ensure accuracy, color consistency, and product quality
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal stakeholders and vendors seeking brand usage approval, promoting brand awareness and compliance
  • Gather materials for trademark efforts
  • Create unit logos using Adobe software
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries regarding brand guidelines
  • Develop reports on vendor and stakeholder requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work independently
  • Creative thinker in developing innovative ideas and solutions to marketing/communication challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Understanding/working within brand guidelines
  • Experience within the retail and/or apparel industry
  • Understanding of collegiate retail and fan engagement strategies
  • Passion for higher education, university spirit, and/or brand storytelling
