Job Summary

Drive social media content creation and operations for Girl Scouts, coordinating approvals, assets, influencer relationships, analytics, and cross-team alignment to support campaigns and youth-focused storytelling.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Route the content calendar for approvals. Secure necessary approvals and schedule content.
  • Publish and maintain the council stakeholder-facing SharePoint site of social media resources and assets.
  • Serve as a point of contact for influencer vetting in partnership with the Girl Scouts Communications team.
  • Manage and maintain a social media monitoring schedule.
  • Track designer creative requests.
  • Organize and maintain social video and asset library.
  • Support editorial and content brainstorm meetings, including scheduling, calendar management, and preparation.
  • Assist with community engagement, including comment moderation, response drafting, and identifying opportunities to drive conversation.
  • Stay on top of platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging content formats. Present trends during Monday trend meetings.
  • Monitor social listening tools and identify relevant cultural or community conversations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in corporate environment
  • 3-5 years of relevant, hands-on experience with social media content creation and management.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and act on them independently
  • Positive attitude with the ability to keep cool under pressure
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for live events or real-time social coverage
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media trends, platform culture, and emerging content formats across TikTok and Instagram
  • Social media publishing and reporting platforms (Sprout Social or similar)
  • Video editing tools (CapCut, In-app tools or similar)
  • Graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Wrike, Monday or similar)

Preferred

  • Experience with influencer partnerships or creators
  • Experience in crafting social media strategy for national campaigns
  • Familiarity with influencer vetting processes and creator outreach
