Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Inform and inspire employees and drive business priorities across the enterprise.
  • Develop, implement and measure employee, executive, culture and change communications plans and tactics.
  • Be a storyteller: Conceptualize, procure and produce a wide array of inspirational content about our people, technologies, successes and business capabilities. Content will range from articles and videos, to interviews, Q&As, brief/catchy lists, infographics, and photo/caption features.
  • Write, edit, distribute and measure strategic and timely business announcements, news items, digital content, articles and videos.
  • Serve as a partner and trusted advisor to business partners. Develop and measure leaders’ announcements, talking points, speeches, video scripts and speaker prep memos.
  • Partner with other communications teams across the enterprise to align on and amplify messaging
  • Support maintenance of internal websites and digital signage monitors.
  • Support event content and logistics.
  • Support internal and external communications tactics (i.e., executive speaking prep, webinars, town halls, industry events).
  • Support social media campaigns to promote strategic business priorities.

Requirements

  • Entry level with bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, English, Political Science or a related field.
  • Experience in employee or executive communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement, problem solving and organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Have excellent writing and editing skills, and an enthusiasm for telling inspirational stories with words, videos and graphics.
  • Live by prioritization and organization and possess superior attention to detail.
  • Are positive, poised and approachable, able to work independently and in partnership with others, and confident in offering communications counsel to business partners.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, action-oriented environments and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, reprioritize quickly and meet deadlines.
  • Enjoy translating complex and technical topics into easily understandable and interesting stories.
  • Have experience with Associated Press Style.

Preferred

  • Experience with Associated Press Style
  • Familiarity with social tools, email measurement tools, website content management systems, including SharePoint, the Adobe Suite of products is a plus, as is a basic understand of HTML.
  • Experience producing omni-channel editorial content for a newspaper, news channel, video, magazine or other venue.
