Job Summary

Lead the governance and enable scalable, compliant omnichannel journeys on Salesforce Marketing Cloud across brands and regions.

  • Own Salesforce Marketing Cloud as an enterprise platform across brands, regions, and use cases.
  • Must-have: Deep, hands-on SFMC experience including journey architecture and governance.
  • Standout: Establish operating models and guardrails to drive adoption and reduce bespoke configurations.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own Salesforce Marketing Cloud as an enterprise platform across brands, regions, and use cases, defining how it is configured, governed, and scaled to support compliant, high-quality omnichannel engagement.
  • Establish standards for journey architecture, automation, data usage, suppression, and lifecycle management, and serve as the escalation point for platform design decisions and long-term evolution.
  • Enable journey orchestration by defining technical patterns that Omnichannel teams use to design and execute engagement, ensuring journeys are data-driven, automated, compliant by design, and reusable at scale, while clearly separating platform enablement from journey strategy, content, and sequencing.
  • Partner closely with Data Management to ensure Salesforce Marketing Cloud effectively consumes Customer Data Platform outputs, defining requirements for audience availability, refresh cadence, eligibility, and suppression, while maintaining a strong understanding of Data Platform capabilities.
  • Govern how customer segments and audiences are requested, approved, reused, and retired for Marketing Cloud activation, reducing duplication, improving reuse, and ensuring consistent execution aligned with enterprise data, consent, and regulatory standards.
  • Embed privacy and compliance into marketing execution by translating regulatory and consent requirements into clear Marketing Cloud guardrails, ensuring consent and preference rules are correctly reflected in journey eligibility and activation patterns.
  • Drive platform adoption and value by establishing operating models that promote consistent, high-quality usage, tracking platform-level success metrics such as adoption of standard patterns, reduction of bespoke configurations, and platform reliability, and continuously improving how teams leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud at scale.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Marketing Technology, CRM, or Commercial Technology roles, with a track record of increasing responsibility for enterprise-scale platforms rather than individual campaigns or channels.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud as a platform, including journey architecture, automation patterns, data model design, suppression and eligibility logic, and long-term platform governance.
  • Strong understanding of Customer Data Platform (CDP) concepts, such as identity resolution, segmentation, and activation flows (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud), with experience partnering closely with data engineering or platform teams.
  • Experience operating in regulated or policy-constrained environments, such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, or higher education, where consent management, privacy-by-design, and auditability are essential.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, and enterprise data governance practices is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and enforce platform standards—including journey design patterns, data usage guardrails, and lifecycle management—while enabling business teams to move quickly within approved boundaries.
  • Proven success partnering across technical and business teams, including close collaboration with data engineering, IT, privacy/legal, and business-facing marketing or growth teams.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations, influencing outcomes without direct authority, and serving as a trusted platform advisor rather than a campaign owner or delivery executor.
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to articulate platform decisions, tradeoffs, and long-term value to senior stakeholders in both technology and business functions.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Lifestyle reimbursement program
  • Flexible spending and health savings accounts
  • 401(k) with a generous company match
  • Paid time off, wellness days, holidays, and two company-wide recharge breaks
  • Generous family resources and leave
  • Our commitment to well-being reflects our belief that caring for our people fuels the impact we create together.
