Job Summary

Own IP partner management and licensor collaboration closely tied to brand strategy, approvals workflows, and cross-department data sharing.

  • IP partnerships: align licensors with marketing plans and update partners on strategy rationale.
  • Approvals & governance: coordinate consent for likeness use with licensors and internal teams.
  • Campaigns & measurement: drive joint promotions at events and pull cross-functional reporting to inform GTM decisions.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Know your assigned IPs thoroughly to promote marketing collaborations that align with the brand strategy.
  • Be the primary contact for the IP Licensor, provide periodic updates on new and existing IPs to each partner, and keep partners informed of changes to the exploitation strategy and the rationale behind them.
  • Oversee the exploitation and use of the IP's likeness by coordinating internal and external approvals with Licensors.
  • Coordinate marketing promotions for respective Licensors and their associated talent at events/conventions.
  • Pull and compile data and other reporting metrics while collaborating with other departments for content partners on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Support the Brand Management team with several administrative and operational responsibilities and daily operations.
  • Support Digital Manga projects, such as communicating with publishers and working with the GTM team.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional work experience.
  • 1+ years of partnership management and cross-departmental experience.
  • Experience working in the IP and licensing industry.
  • Experience working in marketing or experience supporting marketing teams.
  • Experience managing projects from end-to-end.
  • Experience working with global partners, including understanding Japanese business culture.
  • Experience optimizing workflows.
  • Bachelor's degree.
Preferred
  • Some Japanese (reading/writing/speaking) experience communicating with Japanese partners.
