Established in 1959.Dury’s Gun Shop boasts a rich history that spans over a century, with its roots tracing back to the late 1800s when John M. Dury established a small gun store in downtown San Antonio. This legacy was revitalized in 1959 by his grandson, John L. Dury, who began repairing and customizing firearms from his parents' garage. By 1973, the business had moved into its first brick-and-mortar location on Southcross Blvd, where it operated for three decades before relocating to a larger facility on Hot Wells Blvd in 2003. Today, Dury’s operates two San Antonio locations, 1039 NE Loop 410 and 819 Hot Wells Blvd, which was reopened in 2022 to better serve the communities south of San Antonio. The shop remains a family-run enterprise, with John’s wife, Betty, and their sons, Johnny and David, continuing the tradition of exceptional service, expert gunsmithing, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction that has defined Dury’s for decades.
