Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Data Science team instils advanced analytics and data science principles into advertising technology.
  • The team collaborates with multiple product teams to support predictive modeling, measurement & optimization, reporting and analysis.
  • You'll work with data scientists, analysts and product managers to design and test algorithms that predict performance and maximize ROI.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027). December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
  • Must be working from a location within a U.S. state during all hours worked.

Preferred

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding data modeling, joins, and blending.
  • Experience with BI tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data analysis and pipeline development.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Snowflake for data manipulation and querying.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and tools like Databricks is a plus.
  • Understanding data privacy concepts and clean room technologies is a bonus.
