Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with business owners and community leaders throughout Cerro Gordo and Floyd counties
• Sell print advertising in The River Register
• Sell digital advertising, including website display ads, e-edition advertising, sponsored content, newsletters, and social media campaigns
• Introduce clients to Nelson Media Company's full range of marketing services, including professional video production, digital marketing, social media management, branding, graphic design, website services, and other customized advertising solutions
• Meet with business owners to understand their goals and recommend marketing strategies that produce results
• Prospect and develop new business opportunities throughout the coverage area
• Collaborate with clients and our creative team to develop effective advertising campaigns
• Maintain regular communication with clients while providing outstanding customer service
• Represent The River Register and Nelson Media Company professionally throughout the communities we serve

Requirements

• Sales, advertising, marketing, or customer service experience preferred
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
• A self-motivated individual who enjoys meeting new people
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• Basic understanding of digital marketing is helpful but not required
• Willingness to learn—we're committed to training the right candidate
