Job Summary

Own the category marketing lead with end-to-end product storytelling, GTM and launch execution that tie consumer insight to commercial growth.

Define category strategy and launch plans that align product, pricing and portfolio mix to sales and margin goals.
Lead cross-functional storytelling and asset direction from concept to market, shaping messaging, education, and reasons to believe.
Partner with Product to translate consumer behavior into differentiated product narratives and go-to-market plans.

Responsibilities

Own the product marketing strategy for your category, with clear accountability for category sales growth, product performance and margin improvement
Partner closely with the Product Development Manager to refine product strategy, portfolio priorities and growth opportunities
Identify opportunities across hero products, whitespace, repromoted, pricing, bundling, gifting, cross-sell and portfolio mix
Support product refinements and portfolio optimisation where needed
Use performance data, consumer insight and market context to improve decision-making and drive better outcomes
Work alongside the Product Development Manager from concept through to launch and optimisation
Bring the consumer, brand and commercial lens into product development from the outset
Contribute to proposition development, pricing, pack architecture and portfolio logic
Be actively involved in product testing and development sign-off to ensure a best-in-class standard
Develop compelling, differentiated and conversion-focused product stories for both new and existing products

Requirements

Significant experience in product marketing, brand marketing or category marketing within beauty
Proven track record of launching products that delivered strong commercial results
Experience influencing product proposition and go-to-market strategy
Strong understanding of the product lifecycle
Experience working cross-functionally with key teams
Strong commercial instinct and understanding of what drives product success
Exceptional product storytelling and messaging ability
Strong grasp of consumer psychology and what drives purchase
Commercially sharp, with strong instinct for sales, profitability and category opportunity
Strong visual taste and creative judgement
