Job Summary

Own the charity marketing plan end to end, aligning strategy to the 2025–2028 plan and CEO goals while safeguarding brand and driving multi-channel storytelling that supports fundraising and partnerships.

  • Own the annual plan and delivery across channels, audiences and campaigns.
  • Shape brand-aligned campaigns with cross-functional teams and escalation to the CEO when needed.
  • Turn impact into clear narratives that move awareness, engagement and income while tracking progress against KPIs.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Develop a practical, action-focused annual marketing plan that delivers on the charity’s strategic objectives, as defined in the 2025 – 2028 strategic plan and by the Chief Executive
  • Setting SLAs and KPIs, monitoring and providing regular reports to your line manager
  • Work closely with all departmental leads (Fundraising, Design, Partnerships, Training, Hub of Hope) to reflect their objectives in the marketing plan
  • Responsible for oversight of the marketing plan and ensuring its delivery
  • Responsible for prioritise/de-prioritising and flagging potential issues to your line manager
  • Alongside the Design and Creative Manager act as a ‘brand guardian’, ensuring that all marketing activities align with our established brand, values and mission
  • Reviewing and approving written content produced by other departments
  • Support the ongoing development of our brand guidelines alongside the Design and Creative Manager
  • Manage marketing budgets as/when allocated to specific activities or campaigns
  • Social Media & Digital Presence: plan, write and implement all social media content; develop campaigns; manage channels; monitor topics; respond to trends; influencer outreach; paid social (when required); monitor performance; deliver reports; identify new platforms and tools
  • Content Creation: write high-quality, engaging copy across channels (social media, blogs, emails, website, print, annual report)
  • Events, Campaigns & Engagement: create and maintain calendar; plan and deliver campaigns; support fundraising and events; identify marketing opportunities with partners and teams
  • Ways of Working: collaborate with Design and Creative Manager; ensure timely delivery, open discussion of disagreements, escalation to CEO if needed
