Job Summary

Own local referral growth by building community relationships, coordinating education and marketing activities, and serving as the on the ground link to central marketing and NHS policy awareness.

  • Community & Referrer Engagement: develop local relationships with opticians, GPs, referral centers, and LOCs to drive referrals.
  • Sales & Partnerships: coordinate NHS policy understanding and work with insurers to boost private sales across channels.
  • Events & Education: plan CPD sessions, local marketing initiatives, and attendance at optical fairs and events.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • support the development and growth of new patient referrals into the service, provide exceptional customer service to our private patients and coordinate all educational and marketing initiatives.
  • deliver the required referral numbers to achieve the expected sales targets and growth strategy for the Newmedica Cheshire Oaks clinic.
  • Occasional evenings will be required to support our educational and marketing activities and events.
  • be highly visible within the community surrounding the clinic and develop referrer engagement plans and build local relationships with referrers such as Opticians, GPs, Referral Management Centres, LOCs.
  • work closely with all Private Medical Insurers to boost our profile and drive private sales through a variety of channels.
  • be the main conduit between the clinic and the central Marketing & Engagement functions.
  • be the eyes and ears on the ground and have a thorough understanding of competitor activity.
  • play a key role in the planning and organising of events such as CPD sessions, local marketing initiatives, attending optical fairs and events.

Requirements

  • experience within a referrals or sales generation environment.
  • knowledge of the NHS policy landscape relating to patient referrals, particularly in the ophthalmology sector.
  • an organised self-starter.
  • a strong communicator who is able to overcome challenges and influence people to your point of view.
  • friendly and engaging personality and adept at establishing effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • experience of organising and managing promotional events.
  • comfortable working in a hybrid-based role with a high degree of travel around the Cheshire and North Wales.
  • flexibility regarding travel and after-hours events.
  • suit a friendly, engaging and confident person who thrives in a fast-paced, target driven environment.
