Job Description

Responsibilities

Building relationships with journalists and developing targeted media lists
Proactively pitching creative, newsworthy stories to secure quality coverage
Monitoring the news agenda and identifying reactive PR opportunities
Writing press releases, media alerts, case studies and other PR content
Supporting campaigns, launches, events and brand activations
Helping Account Managers manage timelines, deliverables and client activity
Producing coverage reports and campaign evaluations
Bringing fresh, culturally relevant ideas to campaigns
Staying ahead of food, restaurant, retail, lifestyle and wider consumer trends

Requirements

1–2 years’ PR experience , preferably within an agency environment
Strong writing, pitching and communication skills
An understanding of the media landscape and ideally established journalist relationships
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
A genuine interest in culture, trends and storytelling
A proactive, positive approach and strong team spirit
The confidence to take ownership and see things through
