Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create Welsh-language and bilingual content across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X) in video, audio, and graphics.
  • Manage and grow Welsh-language and Wales-focused social channels to build reach, trust, and understanding of voting and democracy.
  • Use insights, data, and social listening to evaluate performance and continuously improve content and channel effectiveness.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on Welsh-language digital engagement within the Commission, contributing to wider campaigns and projects.
  • Monitor channels to identify opportunities, emerging issues, and potential risks, escalating where appropriate.
  • Respond to public queries and complaints via social media in line with Commission policies.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Welsh (written and spoken).
  • Strong experience managing and growing corporate or organisational social media channels.
  • Enjoys combining creativity with data, using insight to shape content and strategy.
  • Confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and contributing to larger campaigns.
  • Curious about emerging digital trends and how they can be applied responsibly in a public sector context.

Preferred

  • Experience in central or local government, agencies, start-ups or purpose-led organisations would be particularly relevant.
