Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of social media channels
• Create engaging and visually appealing, original multimedia content across copy, graphics and video
• Collaborate with teams across the organisation, government and international counterparts
• Ensure effective social media output with real impact
• Keep up to date with industry best practice and provide consultancy on social media use and content
• Use reporting tools to analyse channel performance, identify improvements, and report on KPIs and achievements

Requirements

• British citizen or hold dual British nationality (eligibility criteria)
• This role requires Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
• You’ll be required to reach the minimum pass mark for the Online Situational Judgement Test (SJT)
• Demonstrate experience in having delivered effective social media content to support wider organisational/brand objectives (assessed at CV sift)
• Demonstrate working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and being confident communicating insights and recommendations (assessed at CV sift)
• Demonstrate having delivered projects in a timely manner when there were competing priorities and/or under pressure (assessed at CV sift)
• The role is based in London, Manchester or Cheltenham, so you’ll need to live within a commutable distance

Preferred

• Having worked in journalism, public relations or government communications would certainly be advantageous
• Familiarity with Civil Service Behaviours (as part of the selection process)
